Would you advise some one to cut their rabbits nails their self. ?

I hear its easy but scares me in case I cut that thing in their nailWould you advise some one to cut their rabbits nails their self. ?
The vein in the nail is called the 'quick' which will bleed if you nick it. Get some 'quick stop' product such as powder if this does happen. Purchase a lightweight nail clipper. Start out by clipping the very tip, then begin to work your way back slowly until you see a little wet dot in the middle of the nail. It'll alert you that the quick is near if their nails are black. If the nails are white, you'll see a pink colour, try not to clip too close to that because that's where the quick is. If you're super scared, they actually do make 'quick finder' nail clippers. Petsmart carries them in their stores and online. They'll alert you if you're close to the quick and when it's okay to cut. Get the size that is meant for cats due to this is the best for rabbits. No, I wouldn't. There's a special part in they're nail that if you cut, is horrible. Also, your rabbit may get mad at you for a little bit. I would take him to a vet. I know, I cut my guinea pig's nails once. Nothing happened but it scared me so bad. Now I have two rabbits but I still don't cut there nails.
ya! i had a guinea pig and i always cut her nails. i am sure bunnys and pigs are really similiar.. you can see the thing through then nail (on pigs idk about rabbits) and if u do cut it they just squeal and you put a napkin on it until it stops bleeding like u would do for ur own cut. and it will heal quickly.
Yes, used to do it a lot when my kids had rabbits. If you cut too close the nail will bleed and it will hurt. But you can see what is too long and needs to come off. Get some proper clippers from pet shop and then pay the vet to do it once and watch very closely.........
I would advise them to take it to a vet and get advice from them, better to be safe than sorry !

Hope this helps,
