It is interesting to me that people who offered their knowledge assumed that you were to be interviewed and not that you were to interview someone and you were interested in improving your skills required to be thorough and professional in your position as a interviewer.What advise do you have for me about preparing and interviewing successfully?
The first thing is to do some research on the company you are interviewing with. Find out relevant information that you can use to prepare good questions to ask in the interview. You can also use these details to prepare for common job interview questions such as ';Why do you want to work here?';
For free guidelines on how to conduct background company research go to http://www.best-job-interview.com/prepar鈥?/a>
You should prepare a list of good, insightful questions to ask in your interview. Practice your answers to standard interview questions and make sure you have all the necessary information to excel in your interview. The first answer is okay , but it isn't enough for all of us. If you don't have a lot of experience with interviewing, you should try to get some practice. Think of a list of questions that you might be asked and have a friend ask them. It can really help to practice talking about yourself in that way in front of someone who knows and loves you. Good luck!
Just remember to go in there confident, come across as a likeable person and try your best to answer all the questions to the best of your ability. Remember as well that they are there to give you a job! Go in, nice firm handshake, don't talk too less and don't ramble!
As for preparing, make sure all your clothes are ready the night before, the last thing you want to do is rush before an interview because it just messes you up! Make sure your neatly presented too.
If you've got the skills they are looking for you just have to convince them that you're a good person to work with!
Good luck :)
