Ive lost 30 lbs so far and still going. I am 25-30 lbs away from my goal.
I tend to count calories on occasion to recalibrate my portion sizes and food intake. I would definitely count calories when starting out on a diet. this means keeping a log of everything you eat and measuring food. At least to get started. This teaches portions and lets your realize where your calories are coming from.
In addition, I made my meals smaller so that I could eat 5 times a day. three meals and 2 snacks = 1800 calories.
loosing weight is about diet and self control. To be healthy and look good you will want to add some cardio and resistance training into your routine.
I myself go to the gym 3 days a week and do light weight training with 1 hour of cardio.
On the weekends I usually ride my bicycle 20 - 50 miles.
I would recommend 3 days a week. That is plenty.
As for my diet, I eat what I want in smaller portions. The key is staying under 1800 calories (based on my size). You can do this and the longer you control your eating and work out the better it is. Remember eating is not an event that you plan for it should be an annoyance you must do.

1.skim milk with oatmeal or cereals without added sugar
2.2-egg omelet with turkey slices, bell peppers, onions, corn
never skip breakfast, it's the most important meal of the day!

I have dark brown hair and I want to cut it fairly short and bleach it as blonde as possible. I have never bleached my hair before and I'm curious to know if it will cause any problems to my scalp. I have a slightly irritable scalp aready, and scratch it quite a bit. Is there any way I could bleach my hair that wouldn't cause probs? Is is possible to put some sort of barrier cream on your scalp first? Vaseline maybe? I'm not bothered if this would mean having black roots cos I quite like the trashy look! first i need to know if you have color on your hair.....if u do then u will have to belach it......if not you have what they call virgin hair. you can lift up to 4 shades with a haircolor. just remember color doesnt lift color, so if u have color on you cant put another color on it to make it lighter. you can always go darker, if u have color on or not. but i would start making your hair blonde by putting a cap on and pulling every hole and then putting the bleach on that. it wont touch your scalp that way. and if u go to a professional they do have ';off the scalp bleach'; just be careful if you are going to bleach your head, it most likely will take more that one process. bleach will burn, and make your scalp more irritated. vaseline wont help it will just get on your hair and then the bleach wont work on the spots where the vaseline. unless some way you can put the vaseline on the scalp with out getting it on your hair. good luck....O do the cap thing BEFORE you cut your hair.Can anyone please advise me on using hair bleach if you have a damaged scalp? thank you.?
If you really want blonde hair (platinum blonde) and you are willing to cut it short, you can use an oil bleach designed for hair it will still get light and not damage your scalp. Your best bet is to get it done professionally. Also if you go to Sally's beauty supply you can get a product that will base your scalp before any chemical, it works like vaseline but is easier to get out of the hair. It is called base, (usually used when relaxing someone's hair). hope this helps. (lic. hairstylist of over 9years)

Then when you get home, let them go, but still have their leashes on them so you can pull them apart if you need to. Let them play/roughouse, but if it gets too bad separate them into different rooms until everyone calms down.

We have older and younger dogs all mixed together so we try to have the little ones give the old ones a break this way... GOOD LUCK

Hi, i own a ford ranger 54 reg 2.5 td supercab and I want to do it up as it seems a bit slugish. Can anyone suggest any performance parts or internet websites (preferbly uk postage)? I have dark brown hair and I want to cut it fairly short and bleach it as blonde as possible. I have never bleached my hair before and I'm curious to know if it will cause any problems to my scalp. I have a slightly irritable scalp aready, and scratch it quite a bit. Is there any way I could bleach my hair that wouldn't cause probs? Is is possible to put some sort of barrier cream on your scalp first? Vaseline maybe? I'm not bothered if this would mean having black roots cos I quite like the trashy look! first i need to know if you have color on your hair.....if u do then u will have to belach it......if not you have what they call virgin hair. you can lift up to 4 shades with a haircolor. just remember color doesnt lift color, so if u have color on you cant put another color on it to make it lighter. you can always go darker, if u have color on or not. but i would start making your hair blonde by putting a cap on and pulling every hole and then putting the bleach on that. it wont touch your scalp that way. and if u go to a professional they do have ';off the scalp bleach'; just be careful if you are going to bleach your head, it most likely will take more that one process. bleach will burn, and make your scalp more irritated. vaseline wont help it will just get on your hair and then the bleach wont work on the spots where the vaseline. unless some way you can put the vaseline on the scalp with out getting it on your hair. good luck....O do the cap thing BEFORE you cut your hair.Can anyone please advise me on using hair bleach if you have a damaged scalp? thank you.?
If you really want blonde hair (platinum blonde) and you are willing to cut it short, you can use an oil bleach designed for hair it will still get light and not damage your scalp. Your best bet is to get it done professionally. Also if you go to Sally's beauty supply you can get a product that will base your scalp before any chemical, it works like vaseline but is easier to get out of the hair. It is called base, (usually used when relaxing someone's hair). hope this helps. (lic. hairstylist of over 9years)

Then go back to your bed. At the start, she will come straight back to you bed. Do it again. Keep doing it - and be totally patient - don't lose your temper.
Eventually she will learn that she will not be allowed to sleep in your bed.
Let her in and stop worrying about it! There's nothing wrong with that! Your children will grow away from you soon enough. Let them stay close as long as they will!

You cannot control being gay. it is genetic. that would be like realizing your legally blind and trying to just ignore it till it went away. You could ignore your blindness as much as possible and act like it didn't exist, but it would cause many issues in your life. Just like you could ignore the fact that you are a homosexual and act like these sexual feelings for guys don't exist, but it will also cause issues and probably mess you up in the long run.
As for your family, I can't say i know how you feel as I'm not gay, but my brother is in the process of coming out to my parents so I know what your going through. This is a toughie and i myself asked a question about that because neither of us know what to do.

And if keeping your surname is important to you, you can discuss that with your husband when you get engaged (although if it's only your father that cares about the surname, it doesn't really matter what he wants; or, perhaps one of your sisters' husbands can take her surname when they get married).

You could ignore your blindness as much as possible and act like it didn't exist, but it would cause many issues in your life. For example.... Honda Accord is worth 50% of MSRP after 4 years. Ford Taurus is worth 27% of MSRP after 4 years. So when you resell a Honda, you will get nearly twice as much as a Ford crap.
Bad thing is Honda doesn't offer any rebates or special APR currently.
But Toyota is currently offering 0% for 36 months on the Camry, which is nearly as good as an Accord.
All cars loose value quickly. Some not as bad. Nissan Sentra SE-R is a nice choice. Sporty with it's biggest strength in handling/brakes. Honda Civic in style %26amp; modern looks. Chevy Malibu was rated again as the best Chevy. Many trim levels to choose from as well as a sweet optional V6 the same used in the Caddy CTS. Prices are all over from $20-30K on that one. Elegant choices would be the new Buick LaCrosse CXS %26amp; Cadillac CTS. Build quality has suddenly gotten much better under the new reorganization. I just booked my first cruise! We are going on a 7-DAY EASTERN CARIBBEAN CHRISTMAS CRUISE going from Ft. Lauderdale to Grand Turk (Turks %26amp; Caicos), San Juan, PR, St. Thomas, and Half Moon Cay Bahamas. Any suggestions to make this the best cruise experience ever?Any advise for 1st time cruiser?
Be nice to your room steward. They know everything, and can make your trip the best. Plan shore excursions ahead of time, then you can board and relax. Get to know your dining companions, etc. They may include you in their special plans. Try new things. Don't bring lots of valuables; you'll just worry about them. Keep your passport with you at all times.Any advise for 1st time cruiser?
If you are coming from a cold weather state where the weather is unpredictable, I'd suggest flying down to Ft. Lauderdale the day before you set sail and enjoy a relaxing day in FL before you set sail.
Others have already given some good ideas re: packing etc. So I'll tell you a bit about the islands. Of those you are stopping at, St. Thomas is my favorite. If you love to shop (especially for jewelry) you won't be disappointed. Depending which pier you dock at - be sure to get a taxi to downtown for some serious shopping. There's good shopping at Havensight pier - but more competitive usually downtown.
You can always find a good beach and get a fairly inexpensive cab ride there and back. Be sure to negotiate your price before you get into the taxi! Do a little web research on fun things to do on each island before you leave.
Be sure to bring some sunscreen if you plan to spend a lot of time on deck or outside. If your a northern girl like me - the sun seems a lot hotter on the cruise and I tend to burn more quickly!

Every evening, you should get a newsletter telling you what activities are going on the next day. Use this to plan your daily activities while the ship's at sea.
On the first day or two, the cruise director will have a presentation in the main showroom about the shore excursions. If you go to this presentation, you can ask questions about the excursions. They will also videotape this and play it repeatedly on the ship's closed circuit TV channel.
At least watch the replay to find out what a lot of the excursions are like before purchasing any. The cruise director and his staff have been on most - if not all - of the excursions they offer and they can give you valuable info on which ones are the best. You can then purchase the ones you want to go on through the in-room TV. Do this as soon as you can after the presentation. Some of the better and/or more popular excursions will sell out.
Above all else-----be prepared!!!

Be advised that most cruise lines automatically bill you for your tips to the ship employees----you can add to or subtract from the amount they charge----don't be afraid to subtract from the amount they bill and of course you can give cash to employees that go the extra mile!
If you think you will be calling family or friends back in the states make sure your cell phone has an international plan-----it can get Very costly if you do not. Another way to get around the high price of calling home is to get an international calling card and use that at a payphone while you are in port!

i just went on my first cruise and i would just tell u that you should be ready to get up early so that u can get off the ship to go to the places. if you dont get off early then you do not have enough time to go do everything there is to do. just have fun and if the ship moves a lot, dont think to much about it or it makes it worse.
I was going to book a cruise with the same excursions!! Let me know how this is!!!! I would say take a TON of pics, it's never too much!!! Get involved with all that is going on, and even though you're on vacation, don't sleep too much!!! I almost missed a HILARIOUS midnight comedy show because I was tired and went to sleep at around 10. Luckily my bf woke me up and dragged me to it lol. You can recover when you get back!!

Oh WOW, where do I start?
Now that you're booked, you're hooked. A few weeks in advance, go on the cruise lines web site and sign in to get your on-board spending account linked to your credit card. This checking in ahead of time will expedite your standing in line on the day of embarkation. Also while on the cruise lines web site, find out what amenities are in the room...some have hair dryers, some do not.
Apply for your passport now. After June 1, 2009, you will need a passport to re-enter the US.
Plan what clothes you will take. Pack nice clothes; the formal dinner night is usually dressy like going to church or a wedding. Invest in a digital camera with a memory chip of at least 2 gb. Take a disposable under water camera if you plan to snorkel. Pack comfortable shoes for dinner, for lots of walking, and for wet time...and pack a swimsuite cover-up if your're a woman.
It's best to wait to book shore excursions until you're on the ship. Weather will affect certain excursions or other things may change. If you book while on the ship and changes are made, the cruiselines is a lot more helpful.
Cash needed on land only...my husband and I took $600 and spent barely $200. We bought only a few t-shirts, small trinkets, a bigger item, and a little bit of food. (Grand Cayman and Cozumel) BTW: These two places do business in US currency and usually give change back in US currency. Take cash in denominations of $20 and smaller.

Get to know your dining companions, etc. They may include you in their special plans. Try new things. Don't bring lots of valuables; you'll just worry about them. If you are coming from a cold weather state where the weather is unpredictable, I'd suggest flying down to Ft. Lauderdale the day before you set sail and enjoy a relaxing day in FL before you set sail.
Others have already given some good ideas re: packing etc. So I'll tell you a bit about the islands. Of those you are stopping at, St. Thomas is my favorite. If you love to shop (especially for jewelry) you won't be disappointed. Depending which pier you dock at - be sure to get a taxi to downtown for some serious shopping. There's good shopping at Havensight pier - but more competitive usually downtown.
You can always find a good beach and get a fairly inexpensive cab ride there and back. Be sure to negotiate your price before you get into the taxi! Do a little web research on fun things to do on each island before you leave.
Be sure to bring some sunscreen if you plan to spend a lot of time on deck or outside. If your a northern girl like me - the sun seems a lot hotter on the cruise and I tend to burn more quickly!

Every evening, you should get a newsletter telling you what activities are going on the next day. Use this to plan your daily activities while the ship's at sea.
On the first day or two, the cruise director will have a presentation in the main showroom about the shore excursions. If you go to this presentation, you can ask questions about the excursions. They will also videotape this and play it repeatedly on the ship's closed circuit TV channel.
At least watch the replay to find out what a lot of the excursions are like before purchasing any. The cruise director and his staff have been on most - if not all - of the excursions they offer and they can give you valuable info on which ones are the best. You can then purchase the ones you want to go on through the in-room TV. Do this as soon as you can after the presentation. Some of the better and/or more popular excursions will sell out.
Above all else-----be prepared!!!

Start to think about shore excursions----plan ahead--they can get pricey!
Be advised that most cruise lines automatically bill you for your tips to the ship employees----you can add to or subtract from the amount they charge----don't be afraid to subtract from the amount they bill and of course you can give cash to employees that go the extra mile!
If you think you will be calling family or friends back in the states make sure your cell phone has an international plan-----it can get Very costly if you do not. Another way to get around the high price of calling home is to get an international calling card and use that at a payphone while you are in port!

i just went on my first cruise and i would just tell u that you should be ready to get up early so that u can get off the ship to go to the places. if you dont get off early then you do not have enough time to go do everything there is to do. just have fun and if the ship moves a lot, dont think to much about it or it makes it worse.
I was going to book a cruise with the same excursions!! Let me know how this is!!!! I would say take a TON of pics, it's never too much!!! Get involved with all that is going on, and even though you're on vacation, don't sleep too much!!! I almost missed a HILARIOUS midnight comedy show because I was tired and went to sleep at around 10. Luckily my bf woke me up and dragged me to it lol. You can recover when you get back!!

Now that you're booked, you're hooked. A few weeks in advance, go on the cruise lines web site and sign in to get your on-board spending account linked to your credit card. This checking in ahead of time will expedite your standing in line on the day of embarkation. Plan what clothes you will take. Pack nice clothes; the formal dinner night is usually dressy like going to church or a wedding. Invest in a digital camera with a memory chip of at least 2 gb. Take a disposable under water camera if you plan to snorkel. Pack comfortable shoes for dinner, for lots of walking, and for wet time...and pack a swimsuite cover-up if your're a woman.
It's best to wait to book shore excursions until you're on the ship. Weather will affect certain excursions or other things may change. If you book while on the ship and changes are made, the cruiselines is a lot more helpful.
Cash needed on land only...my husband and I took $600 and spent barely $200. We bought only a few t-shirts, small trinkets, a bigger item, and a little bit of food. (Grand Cayman and Cozumel) BTW: These two places do business in US currency and usually give change back in US currency. Take cash in denominations of $20 and smaller.

You should also see that there is no catch, like moving your whole mortgage to the consolidator, this is not recommended if your mortgage is already in good hands.

You'll want to find work to support yourself while you are attending college. I would make sure you have a place at the college before you move here as these courses are heavily oversubscribed.
