Better yet, go to your campus online library LINCC, just put in your student id or call the campus library to get the passcode from home to sign in on their LINCC system. It will pull up every thing you need to see how an abstract is done. Yahoo and google don't even compare to what is available on the metasearch LINCC system. You are able to access not only abstracts (without paying or getting a subscription online),but you can get the entire article or journal too to peruse. Students just don't know whats in our Campus LINCC system. Going on the internet from home is the most sucky time consuming garbage site retrieving place you could ever access, just see for yourself. I promise you will be so happy and it makes school a breeze.
Look at your online ILAS from your school blackboard or Library link on your school's homepage. You will find the ILAS modules, there you will find out how to do everything you need and where to go to get the info.
BTW, an abstract is just a short summary describing what your article/paper/journal is about. You don't have to be elaborate in junior college level courses, so don't worry and stop procrastinating....been there...GOOD LUCK! If you take ENG 1102 it bangs in your head every APA and MLA type documentation style to know. If you have a buddy who has taken ENC1102 , ask him/her if they can proof read your final paper for some pointers if you are not sure. There are also professor/tutors at school who will proof read it before you hand it in ....just ask.APA style abstract sample or advise please?
Go to the library and look at several journals--all have abstracts before the article.
