It depends on how old you are and what your relationship is to the person you want to have sex with and why you want to try it.





The generic advice is to be careful. That means, 1) use protection, and 2) understand that sex is a powerful force, not a game for casual recreation, that it's an emotional experience, not just physical, and that it may mean more to one of you than the other.

If you are underage, don't get someone else in trouble for helping you try it. (That's my very different version of the command to be of age -- I was having sex by 14 -- and I don't regret it for a minute)





Be sure you like the guy that you do it with. If you are or think you are gay, love him if possible. If you are just doing this to try it out and have fun but are straight or bi -- liking him is enough. Have it be a friend at the least either way.





If either of you have had unprotected sex before, use protection if you are considering anal sex.





If it is anal you are talking about use lots of lube, lots of warm up time, and go slow until the receptive partner (who should be in control of speed) is ready to go fast.
