I live in Columbus Ohio and i am flying to San Diego to visit my family. I've flew many times before but i'm just worried that stuff will go wrong. Like if i will get lost in the Airport or the plane goes wrong or if it gets delayed or canceled or someone is late.
Please give me advise!
:)In three days I am going on a plane by myself. Advise?
My boyfriend lives in Columbus so I've been in the airport before ;-)
I've also been in the San Diego airport by myself. It's pretty big but there are friendly people and signs everywhere, so I'm sure that you will be fine finding your way around.
The plane should be fine.
If it gets delayed, you'd just have to wait by your gate and check in with the customer service employees working there to find out when your plane may be taking off.In three days I am going on a plane by myself. Advise?
First...the word is ';advice.'; If you have flown many times, and this is not a prank question, why worry? If something should happen to the plane, most of the time the errors are corrected through back-up instruments that take over in the event of a problem. Consider the amount of air travel that takes place on an hourly basis all over the world. How many times do you hear of disasters? You must be aware that plane travel is safer than traveling by car; yet, most people do not consider this a reality. Now consider all of the auto accidents that are reported dailyon the news. Go on the Internet and check out the statistics of daily auto crashes in the U.S. alone...you will feel very comfortable getting on the plane. Keep a notebook handy with your airline travel info; that way you can make notes if anything changes. Being prepared makes all the difference. Be sure to call the airline two hours prior to departure to make sure your flight has not been delayed or changed in any way. Enjoy the trip...San Diego is a great place.
chances are that nothing will go wrong, I'm thirteen and i flew on a plane for the first time by myself last summer, i would recommend lots of water.. I live in Denver so i'm already in a really high elevation but i definitely say drink lots of water. Generally air traffic is really safe and If you're nervous about the luggage pack light and take it as a carry on... check the flight policies before hand, have a cell phone with you.. there are always stewardesses or flight attendants, security or some other person who can help you.. Don't worry about it.. I know its nerve wracking i'm with you on that but its very simple.. ive found that having good knowledge about the flight before hand helps too.. as far as delays go they would only cancel for is weather, look online at the main area you'll be passing over to see about storms.. it's nothing to stress about! It is really a lot of fun... Good luck!!
Flying is safer than driving your car, so don't stress about it!! Pilots are well trained, and have to go through constant testing to keep their licenses valid. I particularly love taking off (but they do say take off and landing is the most dangerous part), coz you cant experience that sort of acceleration in a car or motorcycle :)
I always take a spare change of clothes in my carry on coz as you know, sometimes these flights get huge delays (and its nice to get changed into a fresh set of clothes). Dont forget your mobile phone either, then you can message people at the other end in case there's a delay :)
Hope this helps and have a great flight!!
The biggest thing to remember is to use common sense. Airports are fairly easy to maneuver if you pay attention to the signs. If planes are delayed or cancel don't worry the gate people will get it straightened out. Dont be afraid to ask them questions, most are fairly friendly. i flown by myself from hawaii back home and had to make a connecting flight in LA (which is a HUGE airport) and had no trouble. Have fun! hope this helps calm your nerves :)
Its all mental, your just worrying yourself. Nothing bad will happen.
Call them when your on the plane so there not late, if its not stormy and its in the morning it shouldnt be delayed.
You wont get lost they have signs lol.
Just dont worry about it you'll be fine
you can go to the airline website and look for updates on what gate it will be. the key is to get there early, with enough time you can find anything. and make sure you check in online at the airiline website so you're less likely to get bumped off the flight.
Dont sweat it. air travel is smooth and safe, and airports have MILLIONS of signs to point you around so you cant get lost. Good luck!
OMG don't do it. It could be a disaster, its not like you will be flying over water where it is safe.
pray before you go and hope you dont die
